Contra vs. The Legend of Zelda

Two NES juggernauts face off in the second round.  “Contra” was the only game to pitch a shutout in the first round.  “Zelda”, on the other hand, only got through by one vote in a comeback victory, but it was against a crowd favorite “Street Fighter 2”.

Tough, tough call here, as I loved both games.  However, I am a Zelda fanatic.

Yeah.  Super cheese.  Video games used to pretty much be like that, though, back in the NES days.

Contra was cool....is cool.  However, Zelda was so awesome.  You could save your game, and the game lasted for a long time.  Contra was over in like an hour.

Long live Zelda.

F Zelda!

Contra was WAY more fun, even if it only lasted an hour.  Its better for having fun blasting stuff rambo-style without haveing to be in a long, drawn out epic.  You don't have to save your game if it doesn't last for 15 years.

This is another "value" choice for me.  You got so many more miles out of Zelda, with how the game gets different as you go along, with new weapons and puzzles and stuff...plus a complete 2nd quest, if you chose.  Contra was the shit, no doubt, but it didn't give you as much enjoyment over the long run, I don't think.
