Capcom Bracket:

ExciteBike (NES) vs. Pitfall (Atari)

Here we have a great classics battle between 2 of the most popular games of 20 years ago.  ExciteBike surprisingly mopped the floor with Ken Griffey Jr's Baseball, 11-1, while Pitfall held off the popular Soul Calibur game, 14-8.

Part of what I vote on is how games age.  Neither of these have aged particularly well.  If they were to remake either game, though, I think that Excitebike would play better, and that create a track function was way beyond anything that pitfall had.

I had to go with excite bike here.  Mostly because of 1 feature: the ability to create your own track, save it, and race on it.

They remade Pitfall a few years back - well maybe longer than that - for either Genesis or PSX, I forget which.  It was much better, obviously, while maintaining the same adventurous undertones.

That was a sequel, not a remake.
