Hey,
http://www.thelionsfanatics.com/tlfforum/index.php?showtopic=21345 turned out a gem regarding the Pepper-Harrington upcoming controversy. I like Joey to start, because how can Daunte rehab his knee AND run practice? Suppossen the coaches here are an improvement over Detroit, then our results should best Joey's 19 TD /12 INT stats of 2004. "Pep" may well become a white elephant on the other hand, due to whatever causes his fumblitis: key is the fumble-adjusted QB rating.
Counting a lost fumble as being intercepted in pass efficiency takes those stellar Pepper-Moss ratings down to the low 80's. While Detroit also has some great receivers, their overall poor performance in terms of QB profiency with either him or Garcia as well as their lousy running game and defense (despite the addition of McQuarters) leads me to expect better results off the third overall draft selection when placed on a good team.
I was also put off by Minnie's losing streak under Pepp before his injury and their sudden reversal to an even better record.
Harrington's remarks in the DFP may be accurate. After all, the paper is known to print the truth and not what the city wants to read.
