The local cable here is Comcast, and they offer NFL Network.

Oh really?  That's cool....... I was told NFL Network is exclusively for DirecTV.

NFL Network is on DISH now and that includes some of the games NFL Newtwork will be showing.  So, Direct TV doesn't completely own the market, just most of it  Cheesy.

To bitch about Direct TV and Sunday Ticket is hilarious IMO.  We fans now have the option to watch every single NFL game on Sunday at home.  No stinky bars and big bar tabs.  No missing games.  It is the single best thing to happen to the NFL in decades.

Quit bitching and get Direct TV.  It is what it is.  Shit or get off the pot as they say  Grin. The glass is half full, not half empty!

All I'm saying is, if all the other cable and satellite companies also have premium sports packs ESPN Gameplan, NBA Courtside, or MLB Extra Innings, why can't they offer NFL Sunday Ticket?  Why does DirecTV only get to sell that?  Also, if people are paying for satellite service, they should be able to view a blacked out game.

The same reason ESPN has Monday Night Football.  Money talks, bullshit walks.

It's really easy decision making though.  If you don't have Sunday Ticket, I don't buy your service.  If you don't have NFL radio, I don't buy your service.  Therefore, I have Direct TV and Sirius satellite radio.  Would I like more competition for these services?  Heck yes!  But, until it happens I'll gladly pay to get two of the coolest things going for NFL nuts like myself.

As far as blackouts, the NFL made the blackout policy.  It has nothing to do with Direct TV or anyone else.  No one can change blackouts except the NFL.  I think the rule sucks.  I also think they should show all pre-season games live.  Maybe NFL Network could buy the rights to do that?

They do... last season, when there were multiple pre-season games on, they would show them all at once with clips of them on.

Not live.  They showed some games live and tape delay of all the others.  This season's live pre-season TV Dolphins game is the one in Carolina.
