I remember a couple of years ago some here wanted Miami to draft this kid. Not sure what went wrong in Atl., but he came out of college with high marks & some thought Atl. got a steal. At 6'2" & 4.4 speed he will get another chance to show if it was him or the situation in Atl that prevented him from being the player most thought he was. He was one of the topped rated CB in the '06 draft.
With Miami void of talent in the D backfield, I can see them taking a shot at him.
FALCONS DUMP JIMMY WILLIAMS

When the Falcons selected cornerback Jimmy Williams in the second round of the 2006 draft (37th overall), team owner Arthur Blank boasted about his growing collection of former Virginia Tech players.
“Now, we’re looking at five players on our roster from Virginia Tech in Michael Vick, DeAngelo Hall, Matt Lehr, Bryan Randall and now Jimmy Williams,†Blank said. “So, we’re starting to build a little fraternity here of players from Virginia.â€
In little more than two years since then, the “little fraternity†has performed like Bluto and Otter and Hoover and Flounder and D-Day, and Blank has become Dean Wormer.
Williams was the last to go, released on Tuesday by the team.
