Omar Kelly on his TWITTER page put up some interesting Henne numbers to ponder.....
•Henne has a career QB rating of 76.2 & has thrown 24 TDs, & 29 Ints. Jets QB Mark Sanchez has a 70.5 QB rating (28TDs-31 Ints)
•Henne has a QB rating of 99 against the blitz
•In the 4 instances (SD, Jets, Buf) where Chad Henne has had a QB rating lower than 50 in a loss he's responded with a victory the next week.
•Henne has thrown 10 of his 15 interceptions on his own end of the field. Two of his interceptions have come in the red zone
•Henne's 2-1 against the Jets in his brief career & has a QB rating of 130.4, 87.8, & 91.4 (the lone loss) in those 3 games.
The one number that stand out is he only has 2 RED ZONE INT's in his career. For a young QB that isn't awful. I mean of course you never want INT's but only 2 have come in the red zone. We can't give up on this guy after this year. I think a new head coach would do wonders for Henne. I really do. Plus he hasn't had a full season under his belt. To give up early on a 2nd round pick who has shown promise would be unwise. This isn't a Pat White, Patrick Turner, Seasn SMith case here, guys who showed nothing so it was easy to give up on them or cut them, Henne has shown flashes and you don't punt away picks that high and give up yet on that so fast. 1 more year for Henne is a MUST!

To give up early on a 2nd round pick who has shown promise would be unwise. He had an AWFUL game last week. It'll be interesting to see how he responds. IMHO, he has shown improvement in a lot of areas this year, but there are still a lot of weaknesses that need to be addressed. Some harder than others... I'm particularly worried about the low trajectory of his throws. He might need to adjust his release point a bit during the off-season, which can be a really difficult task. Right now, he's getting too many passes tipped and that needs to stop. His mobility is really poor and not really something that can be worked on directly, but he does need to improve his movement within the pocket and on designed roll-outs. Regardless of how he does respond to last week, I think we need to bring in some competition. If he responds poorly, it needs to be a high pick. If he responds well, a developmental prospect would suffice.

Well if that's true the best player for the Dolphins was Mark Sanchez who fared even worse than Henne. The same Mark Sanchez that only 2 weeks earlier was being compared to Phil Rivers and Tom Brady. Not sure the talking heads know anything more about football than me or you and that's saying something.
Here is the difference between Henne and Sanchez. Henne plays constantly mediocre regardless of the weather. Sanchez plays quite good in nice weather and like absolutely crap in horrible weather. Now every QB drops off in bad weather. But Henne's drop off is not nearly as bad as Sanchez. Might have something to do with one of them playing for USC and the other for Michigan. So Sanchez would not be a bad QB for a team like the Dolphins (assuming they win enough to get the playoff at home or there road game is to a dome or nice weather). And Henne would be an improvement for the Jets cause while on avg is no better, he doesn't totally suck in a NJ winter. You guys need to swap QBs.
