Congrats!  You are disgustingly rich.  ...must be nice.

As you are the owner of the team, it's up to you to decide who to keep and who to can.  What do you do?

I don't fire anyone.  I find a replacement for Bill Parcells and tell him to do it....or not.  Up to him.

You can't.  Recently Ireland's contract was changed so he reports directly to Ross.  You can't hire Parcells replacement without firing Ireland first.

I think blowing the whole thing up at this point would be a tremendous mistake.

Clearly Dan Henning needs to be replaced.  I'll say it's the flip of a coin right now whether Henne should go too.

I would like to see them either go after a decent offensive coordinator or maybe the better choice would be to elevate QB coach David Lee to this position.

I don't know that we need a direct replacement for Parcells.  To me that should be the GM's job and I haven't been overly impressed with Jeff Ireland.  So he'd go as well.

The other thing I'd like to do and maybe someone can fill me in on this because I have zero clue on how the front office works but is it possible to beef up the scouting department?  Years ago they had guys like Tom Braatz and four or five others an all they did was scout players.  Maybe something like that again.

So?  Just because he reports directly to Ross doesn't mean that Ross can't hire another VP of FO and then tell the press and Ireland that he wanted to keep Ireland but the new VP wanted to bring in his own guy or handle the duties himself.  Technically it's Ross firing Ireland, but Ross still washes his hands of it.  C'mon Hoodie you're way to smart not to know that anything is possible in the business world.

I'm not 100% sure I'd want Ireland gone. Sure, you can point to Henne and a couple of other draft picks and go "He should have seen how that player would develop," but what about "out of nowhere guys Miami has added like Cameron Wake & Dan Carpenter?

I'm not 100% sure I'd want Ireland to stay either, I'm just saying that any time you rate a GM's performance, you need to look at "all" the personnel moves that GM made.

Added my vote to the "hire a head of football operations..." option.

here's why ireland should go.  he creates holes and then gets credit for filling them.  he trades satele for nothing, to pay big money for a injury prone center, then cuts the center the next year when he is injured. koa misi wouldn't have needed to be drafted if they didn't trade matt roth for nothing.  same thing with ginn.  when you put together an offensive line where a 3rd string tackle from dallas is starting, then you might suck at your job.

^^Did Ireland draft Ginn, though?

I have to agree with Tepop on this one.  I'm kind of for a house cleaning, personally.

He didn't draft ginn.  I think he should have kept ginn for what he was, a kr and 5th wr.  He wasn't making that much money and it is an uncapped year.  I know john beck was absolutely horrible, but he goes and drafts pat white and cuts beck.  I think beck might get another look for the redskins this week.  It will be interesting to see if he improved any.

I really liked Beck in a back up position.  I still don't know why we couldn't have kept him.  I don't know WHY I liked him, I just did.  I think he could grow into that type of QB you could lean on when your own is nicked up.

The issue with Ginn, though, is that we had people to return kicks that could also play other positions (CB/S/WR).  I don't think moving Ginn was as much about the money as it was the roster spot.

Yea, i know it was about a roster spot, but roster spot for who?  The bobby carpenters of the world, pat mcquistan, some other rejects from dallas.

Beck started as a rookie on a bad team.  There is no reason he couldn't have stayed as a number 3 qb.
