Im no big Sparano fan, but why would the franchise make Ricky a "fair" offer or any offer at all for the stunt Ricky pulled at the end of the season. Throwing the coaches and his teammates under the bus. Ricky showed his TRUE colors once again. Airing dirty laundry in the media. He is a POS and he can now uproot his family and go play somewhere else.
I agree with this 100%.

As devil's advocate I will at least say this for Ricky...

It was a shitty and frustrating season.  You may not think of Ricky as competitive, and I can understand why, but it is human nature for guys (particularly atheletes) to be very competitive and you can see where Ricky's emotions may have gotten the best of him there at the end.

Don't forget it was really the Sparano/Henning/Henne combo that made last year suck so bad and I am sure Ricky was just relaying what many on the team felt.  Ricky was the better running back last year even with less attempts, so while it would be a bit of a stretch, I think it is possible to see Ricky back for a very short contract.

I am pretty much past the Ricky thing and I always worry about him fumbling, but he is healthy and looked much more dynamic than Ronnie the last couple of years so I would be ok with one more short contract if it worked out that way.  Sparano and Ireland are man enough to set aside a few stupid comments for the betterment of the team (and keeping their jobs) if they really think it is their best option.  But, I strongly doubt it will happen!

NOT being a team player. Throwing his teammates and coaches under the bus in the media. Those true colors. Once again Ricky bails on his team and only cares about Ricky. Ricky smokes weed and quits on the eve of training camp. Ricky after last seasons throws his team under the bus publicly and badmouths numerous coaches and teammates. Ricky ONLY cares about Ricky and that will NEVER CHANGE!

HAHAHAHAHA wow Mikey, you're the biggest hypocrite ever.  So basically in a nut shell, your beef with Ricky is because he smoked pot and bashed his coach..I'm not going to get into marijuana use, because that's an entirely different argument..and dude, that was 7 years ago, let it go man.  But YOU constantly bash Sparano any chance you get, but Ricky's a scumbag for POLITELY "bashing" Sparano and how he "micromanages" the game?..I would think you would admire the dude for having the balls to say publicly what YOU think on an everyday basis.  It's not like he demanded a trade or was a complete douche about it, he said it was frustrating for his coach to over analyze everything to the 10th degree.  I honestly see nothing wrong with what Ricky said, when Ricky said it, or how Ricky said it..you just love to complain dude, and you'll find anything to be miserable over

How in the world can you be critical of Ricky for throwing his team mates under the bus when you constantly throw the Miami Dolphins players under the bus? You threw Brandon Marshall under the bus when he was in intensive care in the hospital. What about THOSE true colors MikeO? Shouldn't a fan show a little respect for his team's players at least when they are recovering from stab wounds?

listen to his interview on WQAM the day after the season, they have it archived go to WQAM.com. Read what he said in the Herald and Sun Sentinel, its archived there too. Run a simple search.

Ricky badmouthed a few coaches and a few players on the offensive side of the ball. Are you claiming he didn't do such?

my point is you're a moron for bashing someone who had the SAME EXACT opinion as you
