I admit, my watching of the Gators last season was casual at best. I did watch the game where Pouncey had those struggles but wasn't it really just that one game? I never saw a highlight reel of him blowing snaps at any other game. The Gators biggest problem was much more about what the QBs did (sorry to jump on that train Maine but I think there is space for us both).
That one snap the other night had some really bad potential but Henne made a good play on it. I didn't notice anything else to really complain about. Is this just a case of the one incredibly bad game still carrying over?
Indeed, Pouncey was not the Gator's biggest problem. But he was one of many that should have been easily fixable. In Week 1 last year, I believe Pouncey was responsible for at least 7 completely missed snaps in one game (i.e. between the feet, over the head, off to the side, etc.) He got better, but there were still major problems with his ability to get the ball back to the QB week after week. I hope the high snaps on Friday night were just preseason crap he had to work through. Hopefully, the coaching staff in the NFL can fix his issues. But I remember sweating EACH snap of the ball last year with the Gators and don't want a repeat performance in Miami.
