He's already saved it?

Winning out the rest of the schedule (which isn't happening) is the only way I see Sparano being saved.

His job is gone.  But a seven win season should save Matt Moore's.

If (and only if) they run the table AND make the playoffs, do I think he even has a chance.  Any finish under 0.500 and he's likely gone for sure.

He's already gone next season.

I wanted to vote "Can't be done", but I think if the Dolphins win out, then it would be hard to fire Sparano.  Imagine the buzz in Miami if we won all our remaining games and ended up with a winning record.  Think of the teams we would have to beat - Buffalo (twice), Dallas, Philly, Oakland, NYJ and the Pats.  That would be pretty impressive.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves here.  We just beat 2 crappy teams.   If we play at this level, I could see us getting another win, maybe 2.

I think if they win out, he deserves to keep his job.  It shows adaptability and game plan can overcome lack of talent.

But like Jim said, the odds of that happening are slim-to-none.

Not possible. Nobody goes to the games, the team is losing money. He has the perception of a "loser" now which will be impossible to shake among Miami fans.

He could win them all, he is still getting fired. Ross didn't want him this year, no way he is back next year.

I don't think it can be done.  They stink at home, are out of the playoff picture by week 3 or 4 two seasons in a row, are almost scary conservative, and fans are fleeing the stadium at the rate that I actually thought Sunday's game was blacked out and didn't even look for it 'til the second quarter.  Morale's low in Dolphin-land.  They need to make the change.

It can't happen, but if he wins out, he may save it.  I think he'd have to win every last one of them, though.

He'd not only have to win out, but he'd have to look like a genius in all the coaching areas, from game planning to play calling, from challenges to clock management.

In short, he'd have to become someone else...

what if they win out, somehow magically eek into the wild card (long shot but bear with me in this hypothetical), and make it to the AFC Championship?

After starting 0-7...

Then what?

Then the world would end. That's not happening.
