I mistakenly thought Jones had already stated he was staying, but it isn't official still. I do expect him to stay in school though.

I'm hearing that's he still on the fence. If he does stay, then I'll admit that pretty much any hope of getting a QB in the 1st round will be squashed as the rest aren't worth taking at #9.

If that happens, take the best available player regardless of position. QB is the only position of need I deem worthy of taking solely on the basis of position. You can get OL, CB's, WR's etc in any round to fill a need, just take the best guy available even if it's LT and play him on the right if Long is healthy. There's no position on the team that doesn't need to be upgraded.

I'll give you that, but then there's no way that punter is the best available player at #9 now is there? Smiley

It's looking like Landry is leaning toward staying at Oklahoma. I assume that's who he's talking about.

ESPN sideline reporter during the insight.com bowl from the OU bench said Jones was most likely coming out. That was in the middle of the game standing about 10ft from him. If he stayed I would be a little surprised. Not that ESPN hasn't been wrong before, but because how matter of fact they were about it.

Game ball goes to the the entire team for not QUITTING when thing seem like what was to be an 1-15 season all over again. They fought every game even though we saw blown leads and poor game managment but hey mistake you learn from. Hopefully we see a different product on the field next season.

All the talk around here (OK) is that he's leaning toward staying. Bob always tries to get the players to stay. Also, he's engaged to a RS JR basketball player that I'm pretty sure will be returning next year.

With Barkley's decision you'd think he'd come out but I think he knows he stunk it up this year and Bob is surely telling him he needs another year of experience.

Just for fun, the craziest theory is that he will pass on the NFL and start up a ministry instead.

Wow, I can't believe how tough this is.

4 players come to mind.  Moore, Bush, Marshal, and even Fasano.  Gotta go with Moore and wouldn't argue with anyone picking Bush.  But things didn't turn around till Moore got in there.  The guy was unbelievable considering he didn't even have a true training camp with us.

Since nobody mentioned Fasano, let me just say that Fasano had a lot to do with us turning things around this year.  He was clutch when nobody else was and gets no credit for some damn good blocking.
