Stop your bloodclot cryin'!

Well, I just finished filling out the police report. Sometime between 6:00-8:30 last night, someone stole my 150cc racing scooter from in front of my new apartment. It's my only mode of transportation, so for the moment, I am supremely boned. Since it's a scooter, I wasn't required to have insurance for it, so of course, I didn't.

This is the first time I've ever had anyone steal anything major from me. I'm so pissed off right now that I just want to punch holes in the wall.

Fuck...and again, FUCK!!

I've never had a vehicle stolen before, but I've had a few broken into.  It always filled me with impotent rage.  I was angry and couldn't do anything about it.  Very frustrating.

I once had a car broken into twice...by the same person.  They smashed my window, stole my tape deck, my speakers, CB radio, and various engine parts.  They did, however, eject my cassette tape from the player so that was very thoughtful of them.  I guess they didn't like Sonic Youth very much.  While it was being repaired, they broke into the lot and stole a lot more engine parts.  The cops figured someone was building a Jeep from the ground up.

Sorry about the scooter.  It's just got to suck.  Maybe you can find a way to see a funny movie (I recommend This Is The End) and take your mind off it for a bit.

That really sucks, but honestly, why did you not have insurance on it?  Since it was your only mode of transportation, cheap to insure, and easy to steal, I can't fathom why you didn't get it.  I had some clowns try to steal my motorcycle from my apt a few years back, but they couldn't break the column lock.

Because up until a week ago, I lived in a gated community in a very nice neighborhood. Never saw the need, to be honest...

I'm sorry this happened to you Stroke.  I've never had my vehicles stolen but like Mecsdonzilla, they have been broken into.  You lose your sense of security when stuff like this happens

Very distinctive looking. Blue with silver trim, full fairing, oversized storage container on the back, custom 16" wheels.

If I could figure out how to load an image up here from my computer (it isn't stored online), I would...

Stroke, that blows.  I hope they get it back for you.

My neighbor has (well, had) and Evo, fully custom.  He got it stolen right out of his driveway back in December.  Then the cops busted a car thieving ring in Fort Lauderdale and got the guy his car back.  Last week, his Evo got stolen again.

Apparently someone really wanted his car, or I live in the hood.

Thanks, Tony... Here is a photo of my scoot. Only difference is I switched out the cargo box on the back with a larger black model:

Top speed (carrying its 300 lb lardass owner): 72 mph
Mileage:  75-85 mpg, depending on how hard I'm pushing it.

After seeing this I was curious to see how rampant the scooter theft is here.I found an article about chop shop that was busted in 2012.In the article,it mentioned a local scooter shop had started a "Stolen Scooter database",I was looking at it an noticed quite a few of them.Might want to look around to see if any of your local shops are doing anything like this...

Googling around..I found some Stolen Scooter data bases,if you wanted to register it....(I'm not sure how helpful it will be... Undecided)

My sincerest condolences, Stroke.  I hope whoever does it gets in a horrific accident on it and is killed.  Then, the cops tie the stolen bike back to a chop shop, there is a shootout, and everyone involved is killed.
