I heard John Clayton on the radio today and he was saying that the thought around the league is that this is Harbaugh's last year in San Francisco, and that it doesn't seem like college is the best fit for him.  He mentioned Miami being a very possible place to end up.

Interesting.

ugh . .and exactly what has he done in san fransisco that warrants him a job in miami ?
just another loser retread coach.

he'll probably end up with a under 500 record this year as well.

Super Bowl appearance and 3 conference championship games with a team he inherited. Not bad. Ross would cut off his left arm to get him. It would mean letting him be a czar like Saban was and giving him 100% power over everything though.

Jon Harbaugh might be in play too. That Ravens scandal isn't over...he could be run out over it. But Jim is more likely to be on the open market

He didn't inherit a good team, they were 6-10.. He cleaned up the Mike Singletary mess. Coming here he would clean up the  Philbin mess. Not a horrible team but not a great team either. Just like what he did in SF

I feel like Harbaugh has the right make-up for what this team needs.  I'd like our next coach to be a hard-ass no-nonsense guy with attitude and flair.  I don't want another "nice guy" - although it seems like that's what Ross (or maybe it was Ireland) likes to hire.

Perhaps Ireland liked submissive "nice guy" coaches so that he didn't get his own power overridden by some other alpha-male personality.

Harbaugh is gonna be a guy who will coach a team 3 or 4 years...wear out his welcome because his approach just burns the team and others out...and then he will move on. I don't see him as a guy who will coach 10+ years in the same place.  His abrasiveness is what makes him great as a coach but will also wear out his welcome fast inside organizations

Harbaugh isn't my favorite type of coach, but I do like the guy.

The coach that I want is the smartest guy in the room.  I don't really like "motivator" coaches as I think that's all smoke and mirrors bullcrap.

Harbaugh would be a great coach for Miami. Fortunately, I don't see him leaving the 49ers any time soon...

Are you kidding me??  He took a 6-10 team and had them in the conference title game the following season and they were a muffed punt in OT away from a Super Bowl appearance.  The following year they were a botched pass interference call away from winning the whole thing.

I'd love to have a coach who can put the Dolphins in that position

Fuck Harbaugh and the horse he rode in on. I'm completely serious about this. He basically played Miami against SF to get a better contract there. Fuck him. I hope he's out of the NFL if he doesn't make it in SF.
