I am betting it still gets released, and will be the biggest DVD seller since Snakes On A Plane.

Here's the thing:

I get what SONY is doing.  I hate it.  But I get it.




As a manager, shit rolls up-hill to me and occasionally, you have to ask yourself, simply speaking in financial terms, "do I make more money by just paying this problem to go away?"  That sometimes mean knowing that you're right and caving to the biggest idiot assholes the world has ever known.  Because the other side of the coin is just a miserable shit-storm of hassle.

So, from SONY's point of view, this is a decision to mitigate risk.  Sucks.

I hate it and wish they didn't.

Edit: You also have to boycott all major theater chains since they pulled the movie first.  SONY would've had to release it to only mom and pop theaters, pulling in very little money anyway.

I kind of agree with ya on this one...no piss-ant country has ever been as obnoxious and annoying as North Korea. Every time I read a headline about North Korea threatening us or our allies, I just want to go out and kick a North Korean in the nuts.

I don't think this has anything to do with terrorism, after all North Korea would've killed us years ago if they could. This has to do with Sony not wanting any more embarrassing e-mails to be released so they are caving in.

That movie was to show in place of The Interview in a few theaters around the country, but Paramount has already pulled those releases too.

 I wish I made that up, but it's true.  North Korea now dictates the movies we are allowed to watch in America.  Yay!!!
