A friend of mine has tickets to game six.  There will only be a game six if the Dodgers win.  She is a Red Sox fan and this would be the first time she was at a post-season ganme, possibly to see her team win the World Series.  She torn as to whether to root for the Sox tonight because she wants them to win the series or root for the Dodgers so she can go to the game.

What is your take?

For me, I'm rooting for my tickets as a Red sox (and me being a Cubs fan) it might be a once in a lifetime opportunity. If the Dodgers lose and the Red sox Clinch the series...So be it,be happy the Red Sox won the World Series

I was just telling some yesterday that I’ve always felt badly for the fans that have tickets to the game after their team wins a series. So as a ticket holder I’d be cheering for my tickets, as dangerous as that might be. But since I don’t have tickets to Fenway next week, Let’s Go! Wrap it up tonight! But I’d still feel badly for your friend.

Do you get a refund if the game doesn't happen?

In general yes.  But she won the ticket.  If the game is canceled she gets a ticket for next year regular season game.

Then she should get to pick which game she gets to go to.

I think you always root for your team and against your personal interests.

That way, if you get personal interest, there's a bonus.  This goes for trips, gambling, etc.

That is why i stopped playing fantasy football no fun when your fg interest collides with sport interest.
