I just hope he doesn't end up being one of those guys who overachieves during a contract year and then regresses to the mean afterwards.

The good news is this wasn't a contract year, he was signed for next year anyway. Besides, even if he absolutely sucks the next 2 seasons, then he is gone as the guaranteed money is really only the first 2 years. We can absorb $10 Million a year in a bad contract, not like it's $35 Million for an underachieving QB.

Ah, you are right.  I stand corrected.  I was thinking this was his contract year.
