Now that the Texans shit themselves in Kansas City, our draft order is final. We were very unlucky this year with these two teams having so many one score wins, could've really had 3 Top 15 picks in this draft but it is what it is. Onward and upward.

Would have been nice if HOU had lost last weekend (BUF shit themselves more), but no too bummed about it.  I believe, from what my kid said, we have 5 picks in the 1st 56 picks of the draft?  I love that, almost 1 pick for 11 picks

Hopefully, our talent evaluation is top-notch in April.

Frankly we need to draft better this coming season than we did last year.  Outside of round 1, it wasn't a good draft.

Any rebuilding team needs to nail their draft. If we whiff on this draft and free agency then it's another decade of darkness at the very least. It's just easier to do well with your 1st rounder than your 5th rounder so we are in a good position thanks to the stupidity of the Texans. I think their pick next year will be in the #15 range.

The only straight up bust was Prince, everyone else was okay or better.  Have to give credit for finding Preston Williams, Laird and Neeham as undrafted free agents too.

Your second round pick was a bust, too.

I'll say he's a bust if he can't get on the field next season.  Like I've said, he didn't lose his rocket arm, but if he can speed up his decision making he could still be good.  Premature to say he's a bust, although it isn't looking good for him.  Sitting for a year may have helped him out.

Appears to be so but it's hard to say when they wouldn't even let him play. It's obvious that Flores just wanted to win as many games as possible this season so he didn't even afford Rosen to learn on the job. Not looking great for Rosen's future but he still can make something of himself in this league if he is allowed to play.

This isn't flag football where kids are "allowed " to play.  If Rosen doesn't earn it he stays on the bench.

It was a total rebuilding season, we played tons of kids who didn't "earn" anything. You just play them so they get reps and see if they can amount to everyday contributors. Rosen should've been no different, or at least for more than 3 games. You give more of a leash for a player you spent a 2nd rounder on.

Who played just to get reps?  By that who played while a more capable vet sat on the bench?

Seriously Edge ... I typically agree with you but I think you are crazy about Rosen. The truth is no one has seen enough to give him another shot. From what I hear if it wasn't for the front office he wouldn't have gotten the first one.

I'm not saying that he is the answer, but if you are going to blow a 2nd rounder on a QB and you need a franchise QB, would it have really killed to have Rosen start at least 6 games before officially pulling the plug? He had one bad game, one okay game and one horrendous game. We lost the next few games with Fitzpatrick anyway. I just don't like any lingering thoughts that he could've been something. We already got that with Tannehill this season.

I would say quite a few people just based on the fact that this was a rebuilding year. We had a bunch of undrafted free agents and misfit toys who played when we could've spent a little money and gotten better veterans on the market. I'm glad we didn't as I was glad we found a few decent players that are young and cheap.

That is different.  Not talking about using cap space to bring someone in or trading.  Talking about benching a guy on the roster that the coach feels give the team the bet chance of a win in favor of giving a weaker player experience.
