But when one of the guys who invented that technology pointed out why this one was dangerous in this case you want to call him a kook? Makes no sense to me. You either believe the scientist or you don't especially when they aren't getting paid to have an opinion. More people believe in media than science these days and its sad.
I don't have a lot of access to scientists, personally.  So anything scientists "say" comes through a media outlet.
The problem with that is that the media always has an agenda - one way or another.  But for me, I try to take the input of multiple media outlets and form a consensus.

Up to this day, right now, I've not heard from anywhere that "the guy who invented the technology" said it was dangerous.  Not saying you're lying, but I haven't heard that.  Do you have more info on that?

FWIW I'm not trying to convince you or anyone to get the vax.  Personal choices are just that - personal. For me, and the people around me, I feel it was the right thing to do.

For me it was the part where they changed the definition of "vaccine" mid-pandemic to make it fit the covid shot instead of just calling it something else. If they would have changed it before covid started, then I would probably give it a pass. But when you have to change a valid definition of a word when you're technically wrong, just to convince people who are technically right. Well let's just say that it doesn't look like it's on the up and up.

I don't believe in any specific scientist or not .. it's science .. it isn't a belief. The whole point is that you take the science, you try to disprove it and you end up either disproving something or confirming it. Rinse and repeat.  Once scientist matters nothing. A consensus is what you're looking for.

The fact that any one person would claim to have "invented" mRNA (as Robert Malone has) makes him a kook.

One person claiming that he "invented" mRNA vaccines is like one person claiming that he "invented" Claritin, or Blu-Ray.  These products are created by giant megacorps and are developed by dozens, if not hundreds, of people.

Malone promotes himself as an inventor of the mRNA vaccines. I referred to him "one of the guys who invented that technology" but you frame it as the "one person would claim to have "invented" mRNA". hahaha

CF, you seem to be ignoring a point that Fausto made and that Brian kinda separately made in a different way.  And it's a logical fallacy I see you make a lot called "appeal to authority".

Science isn't "this one scientist".  Science is a process.  What one person says, whether they invented something or not, is not relevant.  They might be right, they might be wrong.  It's a consensus of opinion based on testing the finding of other scientists and determining fact.  It's not just one person's belief.

You can always find one scientist (and probably a credible scientist) who will reject findings based on their own unintentional biases or being unable to control for variables or whatever.  If you have a belief and you're trying to find a scientist to agree with you, you will find it.  But it will be valueless.

I had the full range, + a booster, + a bivalent booster

I think I've had the same: five in total, all Pfizer, and the last one the dual booster for both the Delta and Omicron strains.

The last one was in May. I still have never tested positive for Covid-19 (touch wood).

Let's spin this back on topic or spin it off. We are miles away from the original poll.

Hoodie, I moved your last message to the other thread, as you were likely writing it while I was splitting the thread.
