We live in a country where we are supposed to have a free press. I believe that's what we had when I was younger but apparently now they slant to whoever is paying them. My question is this ... are you ok with the White House sending out a memo to the media and outright telling them how to report the news? They literally wrote "It’s time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies." amongst many other directives in their memo. I have serious issue with that. One, it's just wrong and two ... if you feel so comfortable in doing so there is much more wrong than just what seems obvious.

I don't think anything is going to happen to Biden except some embarrassment so I really don't care that he was impeached. I do care that he feels like he can dictate to the press on how to do their jobs. Right or wrong they should feel free to report how they choose.

Yeah, this is normal White House behavior.

CF, I can't take this complaining seriously when your guy (i.e. the guy you voted for twice) has repeatedly called the press the "enemy of the American people," has praised a political candidate for bodyslamming a reporter, and has sued the press for millions of dollars because that ran a story critical of him.

I'll just keep saying this over and over: your past (and continuing/future) support for Trump completely eliminates any moral high ground you might claim in trying to criticize Democrats.

I left the Trump Train after the last election and never pretended his outrageous comments or acts were acceptable. I only agreed with his policies.

Aside from all that it's nice that you pretend you can't have an actual opinion because of me. I didn't realize I had control over your life but sorry. Hopefully lots therapy will help you not be affected by some random guy on the internet.

I fail to see how the white house is in any way infringing on the freedom of the press ? .. the President also has a first amendment right to free speech.  He's obviously sharing his (not outlandish) opinion and the press are free to agree or not.

Most of the events that I mentioned happened before the last election, and you still happily pulled the lever for him.

I'm not trying to assess how you truly feel about Trump in your heart of hearts or whatever.  You continue to defend him to this day, despite your protestations about how you No Longer Support Him.

edit: Also, I never said I "can't have an opinion."  I certainly have an opinion: you don't actually care about any of the stuff you're whining about, because when your guy was doing it, all you had to offer was excuses and handwaving about not electing an angel-in-chief.  Your crocodile tears are not at all convincing.

I just don't take this hand-wringing about norms as good faith.

If the other guy were in power, you wouldn't and weren't concerned about the White House asking for fairer coverage from the media.

CF, I agree with your larger point that media should print what they feel they need to print.

But I expect the White house to push back and I have no issue with them acting accordingly.  The White House is nicer than I would be.  I wouldn't allow Peter Doocey to go in there and be the political equivalent of Skip Bayless.  I don't expect positive coverage from those that disagree on policy, but truth matters.

This whole thing (including Biden's impeachment) is about Trump.  It's about Trump trying to overthrow the government and all of these institutions and organizations and individuals that are in on it.

Biden is being impeached because of Trump...nothing to do with Biden.  There isn't evidence.  They're doing it because a few weirdos are doing Trump's bidding and the GOP is powerless to stop it.

I ask you this:  When Trump is the nominee vs. Biden -- knowing he tried to overthrow the government, will you vote for him again?

This question matters more than all.

I don't have a problem with the Whitehouse pointing out the house Republicans are acting in bad faith.  Why aren't you bother by the house Republicans acting in bad faith?

It's a whole separate item altogether but there is plenty of proof, whistle blowers, and other witnesses. Just like Trump keeping and hiding top secret documents. To pretend either is innocent is admitting you are willing to lie about researching and making an honest judgement.

CF, this is exactly the problem.  You expect us to care about some Biden scandal, but when Trump was in office and it was non-stop scandal after scandal:

I left the Trump Train after the last election and never pretended his outrageous comments or acts were acceptable. I only agreed with his policies.
You didn't give a damn about anything Trump did or said as long as he was enacting your preferred policy platform.
So why should any of us care about anything Biden says?  He's appointing liberal judges and his administration is enacting left-wing policy.  The low bar of "He's enacting policies I like" was more than enough for Trump to earn your vote in 2020.

This is why your cries of outrage ring hollow.

Bullshit.  Donald Trump has even stated the only reason Biden is being investigated for impeachment is revenge for the impeachment of Trump.

Considering they have been investigating Biden long before that if he did in fact say that he is lying or bullshitting to take undo credit like he is prone to do.

Kind of funny. Write this day down as the day Democrats have decided to get rid of Joe. Liberal media has literally turned on him overnight so they got a memo to do so. Just curious who they are going to push for presidency.
