I know that every team faces injuries, but I don't carefully follow every team, so maybe it's anecdotal, but it sure seems like we have it worse than everyone else.

We have lost two elite rushers for the year, plus X and Holland have been on and off.
Moestart and Achane have both missed time.
Waddle and Hill have also missed time.

It's like we're never at full strength.  Also, guys like Hill -- he's hurt in some fashion every game.  ...maybe not seriously, but he is banged up and has to come in and out.

Is it something we're doing?

I don't think overall it's really any different from any other team in the NFL. Injuries are a part of the game. Some years are worse than others, but then some are better than others. Most people only focus on the starting 11 on both sides of the ball, but the reality is with so many injuries every year the depth of the team is just as important and often I feel that's where the Dolphins have really not been good in the last 20 years. This year I think the depth of the team has been better and we've been able to play through injuries better than in the past but at some point it will catch up with you. Losing Chubb will hurt as have all the injuries, but guys have to step up and play well, that's just a fact of the NFL. The teams where that happen make the playoffs, the teams that don't get left behind.

I thought McDaniel was being cautious with some players and giving them time off, but maybe not.  In decades past they would bring in a strength and conditioning coach, but I don't think that's the issue.
