Since Jalen Ramsey posted a countdown clock on his social media pointing to June 1st one would think he is referring to leaving Miami. He also just purchased a house in the Dallas area so one would think that is where he is headed. San Fran and Washington were other teams in play.

Ramsey’s previous noteworthy social media post that could be related to the Dolphins was a bag of rotting oranges with a message that started by saying, “Who you surround yourself with matters.”

I would be surprised to hear that Ramsey would be happy to leave Miami for... another team that missed the playoffs last year due to injuries at key positions, both of which finished worse than the Dolphins.

Dolphins mismanagement runs deeper than injuries at key positions.

Supposing I agreed with that statement: "lack of confidence in management" is not an explanation for wanting to be traded TO the Cowboys.

That's like saying "I don't want to be in Miami because the owner here is too involved in the football operations."

Yet another example of why you should go after high character guys.  Ramsey's a piece of excrement.

I hope Miami doesn't cave in and get pennies on the dollar for Ramsey at this point. I'd rather he either play for the Dolphins or don't play at all, your choice. I'm not saying I don't want them to trade him, I do, but for what he's worth, not for a 6th round pick.

Especially this year with a brand new head coach that no one in Dallas is confident that he was the right choice. It might get a lot worse in Dallas before it gets better.

As Mike Tomlin said  ... “We can’t do this with hostages, man. We need volunteers,” Tomlin said. “We need good players, good guys who want to be here and if guys can’t check those boxes, it’s probably best for all parties involved to go our separate ways.”

I'm betting Ramsey wouldn't put forth much effort if forced to stay. He already is on his own schedule and does his own thing. I can't see how that would be helpful.

i think the dolphins are getting lowball offers where they're expected to eat alot of his salary. So low pick + huge cap hit for what ? either one or the other has to give .. big cap hit but a high pick or low pick and low cap hit.

As it is the dolphins can keep him on the roster, fine him for every missed practice and game and if he fakes an injury, just put him in IR cause he's so very injured.

They can't fine him as of now as they told him to stay away from the facilities. At least that's what's been said from some of the sports writers.

I totally agree, but the question is would Ramsey rather sit out the year or play football for the Dolphins? I can't imagine it would be good for his career to sit out a year. A lot of it comes down to what Ramsey wants. I understand that he's not happy in Miami and probably wouldn't put forth the greatest effort, but I'm not too sure that's not what happened last year (at least after having a bad start). If the Dolphins really have tried to find a trade partner (I'm assuming that Ramsey's agent is being kept in the loop) and haven't found one, what does he want the Dolphins to do?

All I'm saying is that once the season starts, Ramsey's stock will go up when the inevitable injuries occur and somebody will make a decent offer for him. Miami should just sit tight till then.

I was thinking along those lines too. If they aren't getting anything in return and have to pay him, they might as well wait until he is the most valuable and after a few injuries on other teams would do it.

The Jalen Ramsey thing is nauseating. Omar said over the weekend based on what he has found out Ramsey could in fact end up staying. Of course this could be a ploy to get interested teams to up their ante.
