Lots of options for game balls today.  My primary pick has to be Weaver, I don't know where this defense has been most of the season but they played terrific.

HM's - All the defensive players, of course Achane, and Waddle.

From the NFL highlights package:

Achane again after another awesome performance. Just give him the team MVP award right now.

HM to Waddle, and Patrick Paul again (the guy running ahead as a blocker is a moving wall).

Also an HM to the great game by the defense, but Brooks especially was a standout again on that side of the ball.

Has to be a defender or at least that side of the ball. The offense played complimentary football but the defense held Buffalo to zero through 3 quarters. That's more impressive in my opinion. Hard to say who as so many stepped up including the new guys. With that said my nomination is for Weaver because he dfeintely had them pull it togehter in a tough game.

I'm going to go ahead and give it to McDaniel. With as tough as it's been this year, he's managed to keep the team working hard to win games and believing in themselves. It may be short lived, but I've been impressed with how he's kept the team motivated.

I also think he's changed up on some of his philosophy. I've been clamoring about them becoming a more physical team and I think that showed this week. Some of it I'm sure had to do with the Bills coming off a big win against KC and weren't really focused on Miami, but Miami really outmuscled Buffalo in the first half of the game. Miami showed for at least 1 week they can play with the more physical teams. They stopped the run all game and if not for some heroics by Allen, they may have pitched a shutout.

I also thought McDaniel was smart in telling Tua to be more aggressive with the ball. Back when Miami was rolling a couple years ago teams were afraid of the deep ball and it helped with the running game. I thought that played into the game yesterday as well. Tua was throwing deep and even though he was picked off twice, it opened up stuff underneath for the run game and he did hit on the one big throw to Waddle. It's not always going to work, but you have to keep the defense honest. Once Achane got through the line, he had a chance to take it to the house on a number of runs. Wright also ran the ball hard yesterday and gave Achane a bit of a breather. If the defense continues to play well that gameplan can work going forward.
