THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: December 09, 2025, 01:42:51 am »

Are you guys going to root for either team?

Just curious because Miami needs a Patriots victory.

However, even if they get it, Buffalo has two easy teams left.

Only thing we should be concerned with is winning every game we play which will be a minor miracle in itself if we pull that off. Thinking that New England will rest their starters the last week of the season because they either have the #1 seed clinched or cannot get the #1 seed is pretty unlikely in itself. I don't see any way that Miami can make the playoffs at 9-8. Even 10-7 is a stretch unless both Indy and Houston tank the rest of the way. I don't see any way we catch Buffalo, LA or Jacksonville even winning all of our remaining games.

I don't know why anyone would mention Indy when talking about playoff scenarios. They have lost 4 of the last 5 and just signed a 44 year old Phillip Rivers to try to salvage the season.

Miami is still technically alive for the 5 seed.

I have totally given up on the playoffs.  Even if we win out, which is just not really in the cards; this is the NFL and it's hard to beat even bad teams, but the teams that are ahead of us pretty much have all the tiebreakers.

I really just want to handle our business and finish strong and let the chips fall where they may.

I also would like to see Buffalo's Super Bowl window close, so I guess I'll be rooting for the Patriots?

Monday night is a primetime cold weather road game against a team with a winning record; all the conditions under which "the Dolphins don't win."  So by Tuesday morning it'll be quite clear whether this team is fulfilling the expected outcome.

The next two games are at home at 1PM, and if there's a "winning team" that Miami has to play in week 18, I can think of no better opponent than the Patriots.

So Tuesday will be the time to be optimistic, or resigned to defeat.

What a wild comeback by Buffalo!!  Down 24-7 at the half and win 35-31!!   That was one of many eye catching storylines in yesterday's highlights.
