It seems like he is repeating his mistakes from 2010 and 2013 again.   First, he fires the GM mid season, but now he's looking for GM candidates while keeping the coach on.   Then I see this on Twitter:

He pulled this stunt after the 2010 season going after Jim Harbaugh while Sparano was still on staff.

This is why this team will never go anywhere as long as he is signing the checks.

Trying to make something out of nothing here. Maybe they wanted to know if he'd be interested in being the Dolphins GM?

The Dolphins added a front office guy who works with Jim in San Diego and used to work with John in Baltimore to the GM search. They are just looking for a recommendation from him. Wink, wink.

Regardless of the silly past, it would be really stupid to not check in with Harbaugh considering just how bad we have been. If Mike gets his feelings hurt after 4 years of giving him chances, does anyone really care? Mike is a smart man and knows the situation. He still gets paid and will find a job. If he stays, he will still try to succeed as well ... especially if we hire one of the San Fran guys.  He knows he is in a good situation for him.
