Andrews finds no structural damage in Burnett's arm
Noted specialist confirms diagnosis of Toronto medical staff

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS are pleased to announce noted orthopedic surgeon DR. JAMES ANDREWS has examined A.J. BURNETT at his clinic in Birmingham, Alabama and has found no structural damage in the pitcher's arm.
Instead, DR. ANDREWS has confirmed the BLUE JAYS starting pitcher has suffered a reoccurrence of his Spring Training injury -- a mild sprain of the ulnar collateral ligament and a slight straining of scar tissue in the elbow. The diagnosis from DR. ANDREWS falls in line with those made by doctors in Toronto and Dunedin. In conversations with J.P. RICCIARDI, the Blue Jays Senior Vice President of Baseball Operations & General Manager, DR. ANDREWS suggested his examination found both Burnett's elbow and ligaments to be strong.

The BLUE JAYS have not set a timetable for BURNETT'S return. His condition will be reevaluated when he is eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list.
