Actually, he just "did it" not "did it again". He has been unusually bad in clutch situations this year. Kyle Farnsworth of all people have struck him out twice in tight spots. Farnsworth being a pathetic girl.

But, I don't think it will last forever. Today will probably kick start something.

not to rain on your parade pats2006 but the guy Ortiz hit the game winner off of was the same guy that allowed Jorge Posada to hit a game winning 2 runs homerun in the historic Yankee comeback this year.

A win's a win. You think teams feel bad when they tee off of Kyle Farnsworth or Todd Jones? Nope  Angry

P.S. Todd Jones is without a doubt the worst fucking closer I have ever seen. He is actually worse than Shawn Chacon was as the Rockies closer a few years back.

you've never met a blue jays fans. listen to fan590 (toronto sports station) after a jays win and after a jays loss, You wouldn't notice a difference. Toronto fans feel bad regardless of what goes on. we could come back from 100-0 down to win 101-100 and people would still feel bad. it's the way things go in toronto

We felt the same way when we showed other teams Paplebon was human.

You have obviously never heard of miguel Batista. That guy was the worst. Every time he came in i knew the game was just getting started. Christ every save opportunity he got it felt like i was on some crazy thrill ride that always ended in distaster. But good thing hes gone. now he can destory some other team

Miguel Batista has evolved into a decent starter with the D-Backs.

Todd Jones, though, is hot and cold.  He was on fire for like 2 weeks last month.  Now he can't throw a strike to save his life.

I live in NY so I can't comment with complete accuracy, but I think the problem in Toronto is that the Blue Jays don't play hockey. David Wells said this too in his book and some Canadian people I talk about agree.

The Jays need a winning team in the worst way so the fans will consistently go to games that aren't filled with Yankee or Red Sox crowds for their games.

He was a starter in Toronto before being morphed into a closer, which is why I have always felt the "Batista sucks" talk was not warranted.  This guy is a VERY solid #4, or long relief.  I'll take him.

20060624: Once again Ortiz does it again in the 10th.  Ortiz has to be the most feared hitter in base ball when it comes to clutch hitting!!  Look what he has done this year!   I love this guy!

Tom Gordon always has a good year, and then he chokes down the stretch or when the opposition has a rabid fanbase calling for his failure. A boston fan should know this, not just from his time with the Yankees, but his time in Boston as well.

I swear no one has more oppurtunities to end a game than David Ortiz. This is like his 20th chance so far.

As far as the Phillies reliever goes, when you go 3-0 on Alex Gonzalez and then WALK MARK LORETTA TO GET TO DAVID ORTIZ, you deserve your fate.
