Bill Buckner’s passing got me thinking.  He played for 22 seasons, but his entire carrier is remembered for one play.  There are others like him.....

David Tyree - helmet catch

Mark Sanchez - butt fumble

Who else?

As a 49ers fan... Dwight Clark and "The Catch"

Your boy Brady and the Tuck Rule

Not even close, and not in the spirit of the other three.  If you are going to pick one thing Brady is known for it would be having more rings than any other player.

That would be even more egregious than listing Marino - 2 ints in SB XIX. (Who is often identified for not having a ring rather than his accomplishments, but I didn’t list him, because it is not a single identifier like with the others)

^If I'm picking one thing Brady is known for, it's a toss up between the tuck rule, deflating footballs and leaving his pregnant girlfriend.

Jim Marshall

Had the record before Favre broke it of most consecutive starts, yet is mostly remembered for the wrong way fumble return.

Ron Artest- Malice at The Palace (not really a play but that is what he'll be known for)

Jameis Winston- Stealing Crab Legs (see above)

Leon Lett and the "blocked FG recovery" in the snow.

Lett actually had 2 plays, but his fumble had no consequence on the outcome of the SuperBowl so I tend to forget about that one.

Yeah, I remember the blocked FG one against the Dolphins, and Don Bebe stripping the football at the goal line.  Other than those two plays, he was a stellar player.

Too early to know for certain but.....

Nickell Robey-Coleman - no flag.

Dee Ford - off sides

And it is entirely possible that in 30 years the only thing anyone know about Gronk is the dent in the Patriots 6th trophy.

Some of you are missing the spirit of this.

Jim Marshal is perfect.  That play is what everyone remembers about him.

But do word association for Tiger Woods and only  an insignificant fraction would bring up the car crash.
