We lost our own 1st rounder because our owner is an imbecile, so all we have now is the Niners pick.

Week 1:

Loss to the Chicago Bears 19-10. Just an ugly game all around, both QBs looked terrible and the Niners blew a 10-0 lead in the 3rd. The Bears will very likely be terrible, like 4-5 wins this year terrible so the fact that they beat the Niners and Lance had a terrible game is very good news for us.

Could be a very long season for them.

Trey Lance carted off the field with his leg in an air cast. Obviously, looks really bad and hope it's not something career ending.

Jimmy G is probably the QB for the rest of the season now in some amazing awkwardness.

This is exactly why I wanted Jimmy G traded away during the offseason.  MIA would be sitting pretty right now if Jimmy were in SEA or HOU, but instead he has raised the floor of the 49ers season.

I know, what I feared too. I guess they either wanted him as insurance or be worth a lot of draft picks in a trade. They look smart now, which sucks.

Having your supposed franchise QB carted off with a season ending injury isn't exactly cause for celebration.

I wouldn't say they look "smart now", they wanted to unload him but couldn't.  More like they just had dumb luck.

They set the price too high, so they either got a lot for him or they kept him. This seems like it was by design.

Seems like they set the price based on the market, and then when the market didn't materialize, they wrote it off as a relatively cheap insurance policy...

Week 3:

Niners fall to 1-2 after an ugly game from both sides, the Broncos just sucked a little bit less. Jimmy G pulled an Orlovsky and stepped out of bounds in the endzone for a safety. Broncos have a good defense but their offense under Hackett is really struggling.

Next week the Niners face the Rams.

I may be late, what place would 49ers have to finish for the Dolphins to have a decent pick  Huh

What's a decent pick?

Here's last year's overall table:

https://www.nfl.com/standings/league/2021/reg

Less than 7 wins was a top 10 pick - even some 7 win teams. The year before that, 5-6 wins would have been needed for a top 10 pick (and not all 6 win teams), but there was one game fewer in 2020.

Going back further shows pretty much the same. 6 wins in a 16 game season is a 50/50 shot a top 10 pick. With one more game now, I'd say 6 wins probably gives you a very good shot at a top 10 pick. You might get lucky with 7 wins, but probably not. If SF gets 8 wins, the draft pick is likely to be in the 14-16 pick range, although you could get lucky on unlucky.

If SF make the playoffs with a miserable record, that would obviously tank the draft value (since those teams pick after everyone who didn't make the playoffs), so you want someone else to step up and win the division.

In other words, We are looking forward to the 49ers to do great in the standings for the Dolphins to get pick 1-10 or am I saying this wrong Huh
