The #Browns and WR Jarvis Landry are going to agree to terms on a 5-year, $75.5M extension, sources say. He gets $47M guaranteed… crazy for those who considered him a slot receiver.

 Shocked

5th highest paid receiver? Wow, that's insane. However, it's about $3 Million more a year than he should get. If you are the Browns and have $100 Million in cap space, it's fine to overpay for a player you think is worth having around. Not like they traded anything of value for him either.

Fuck that shit. People running the Browns are on crack or something, dude is worth $8-$9M max. Glad he's gone, good riddance.

A player is "worth" whatever someone is willing to pay them.  I'm not going to hate on someone for getting a big paycheck.

If you're the Browns, you HAVE to overpay.  Who the hell would want to play or live there?

Congrats to Landry, he deserves a big payday he outperformed his rookie contract.  The Dolphins were lucky to have him, and I think they will be missing him this season when they need to convert a third down.

I think they will miss him even more than that this season, but even beyond that I think they will REALLY miss him 2 or 3 years from now when Amendola is out of the league and Landry is still putting in nice seasons. THAT's when they will really realize what they lost. Now is he worth $15 million a year, of course not, no one is but right or wrong that's the going rate for a player of his caliber.

If you think Landry is being overpaid, wait until you see what next offseason's receivers get.

2 quick things...

1.) Breaking news at the moment is Dez Bryant is about to be released by the Cowboys,Jarvis Landrys' contract is more than Dez with the Cowboys. Now that Dez is on the open market,I'm curious to see what he'll receive on the open market. We'll see how he's valued...

2.) I like alot of people happy for Jarvis,Agree Landry being gone will hurt us more beyond, but I still feel Landry being gone impact will be pretty noticeable this year (I'm of the feeling Amendola, and Parker will probably both end up getting hurt THIS year)
